Rolls-Royce London ‘Progress Tour’ Heralds Showroom Relocation

Rolls-Royce has had a presence in London for most of its 115-year history, and the showroom in Berkeley Square is practically a landmark of the city. With record sales and a range that comprises the Rolls-Royce Phantom, Ghost, Wraith, Dawn and the magnificent Cullinan, those premises are no longer suitable, hence the announcement of a brand new showroom in Mayfair, perhaps the ideal location for one of the world’s most luxurious brands.

A lengthy search for a site on which to develop the new showroom – which will of course remain in the hands of trusted and lengthy partner, H.R. Owen – began some time ago when it became clear that it would be necessary, and now the site has been secured building work is due to commence shortly.

Progress Tour

The move to the new Mayfair showroom will be preceded by a spectacular ‘Progress Tout’, intended to honour the importance of Rolls-Royce’s links with London and its home market. This will involve a notable presence of Rolls-Royce cars in important and relevant locations across the capital, showcasing the current range.

From April 16th, the tour will begin by visiting Kensington and Chelsea, them will move to locations in Hammersmith and Fulham. Further destinations will be Southwark, Wandsworth and Camden, before the arrival of the range at the new flagship Mayfair showroom.

Representative and Appropriate

Talking about the ‘Progress Tour’, Rolls-Royce CEO Torsten Müller-Ötvös explained:

“The Rolls-Royce showroom in London is our flagship store worldwide and I am delighted by the prospect of H.R. Owen moving to more representative and appropriate premises in Mayfair. The ‘Progress Tour’ is testament to the success of the marque’s progressive approach to engaging with its clients and our unique ability to support customers in a way that befits the brand.”

Claus Andersen, Dealer Principal, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars London, said,

“We look forward to taking Rolls-Royce Motor Cars London to a number of the city’s boroughs en-route to its new home in Mayfair. In the spirit of the brand’s innovative Social Hot Spot programme, highly Bespoke motor cars and lifestyle accoutrements will be presented at a number of noteworthy locations across the capital, ensuring that existing and prospective clients can begin their Bespoke journey in an environment that truly reflects their lifestyle.”

The success of Rolls-Royce is just one indication that the luxury car market continues to thrive.
