Red Not For You? Ferrari Releases New Colours for the 488 Pista Piloti!

Exclusive is not the word when it comes to the new Ferrari 488 Pista Piloti. The stunning 711bhp version of Ferrari’s utterly beautiful flagship supercar is a machine to be reckoned with – and one that will be a desirable collectors piece very quickly – but is available only to selected customers.

The launch model may have been finished in the traditional Rosso Corsa red, a colour interminably linked with the marque, but Ferrari has just released details and images of the other three colour schemes – and if red is not for you, one of these amazing choices will be!

Racing Glory

It’s worth remembering that the 488 Pista Piloti is there to celebrate Ferrari’s untouchable record on the race tracks of the world, which is why one of the colour schemes is the very subtle Nero Daytona, combining a black overall finish with detail touches that – as with all the paint schemes – echo the number 51 car that won the class World Endurance Championship titles in 2017 for Alessandro Pier Guidi and James Calado.

Red, white and green racing stripes – the colours of Italy – run centrally from front to back on the beautifully presented Blue Tour de France finish, as they do on all of the 488 Pista Piloti schemes, and this one is particularly attractive in perfect shade of blue.

If you want to stand out, you might choose the glorious Argento Nurburgring, which is finished in a white overall with the fabulous racing stripes. This one is perhaps the most different of the four, and really looks the part.

Or, if you are a traditional Ferrari lover, it’s back to the Rosso Corsa, the red model that will be as familiar as it gets. All of this applies, of course, only to those lucky enough to get their hands on the Ferrari 488 Pista Pilote, one of the most evocative and inspiring models to emerge from Maranello in a long time.
