Rolls-Royce Cullinan in Perfect 1/8th Scale Detail

How long does it take to build a Rolls-Royce Cullinan? The craftsmen and women at the Goodwood factory are artisans of the trade, and each model is said to take more than 800 man-hours to put together. The end result is, of course, one of the most spectacularly detailed luxury vehicles in the world today.

Now, clients can also have a miniature version of the Cullinan – either matching their own bespoke example or finished as they wish – in 1/8th scale, perfectly rendered and consisting of more than 1000 individual parts. Each hand-built model takes 450 hours to complete more than half the time take to build a full-size example!

Hand Painted

The stunning models, presented on a gloss black plinth in a display case that measures almost a metre in length, is hand painted in traditional Rolls-Royce fashion, with even the coach lines being added by hand. The choice of more than 40,000 standard colours is available for model as it is for the Cullinan itself, or can be made as an exact replica if required.

Each model comes with a branded remote-control for operating the fully functioning exterior lights, and opening the bonnet reveals a stunning miniature replica of the legendary 6.75 litre, twin-turbocharged V12 that gives the Rolls-Royce Cullinan sensational and class-leading performance.

Stunning Interior

Open the doors, and with the help of the illuminated treadplates the viewer can marvel at the perfectly recreated interior, using the same materials as used on the real thing, even down to the headrest embroidery, seat piping and stitching, and the detailed wood finish. This is model making at its very finest, and a fine example of the levels of perfection that the Rolls-Royce brand embodies.

About the model, Rolls-Royce CEO Torsten Muller-Otvos said: “This scale replica brings a new dimension to Cullinan’s Effortless, Everywhere philosophy. Our super-luxury SUV is now as perfectly at ease in the serene surroundings of its owner’s residence as it is in the most challenging and hostile terrain on Earth.” He continued, “It demonstrates, and reminds us as a company, that Inspiring Greatness applies at every scale. It is not just about the big things: we seek and achieve greatness in everything we do, down to the smallest item and minutest detail.”
