Monday Drool – Don’t want to wait for a GTC4 Lusso?

The trouble with cars like the Ferrari GTC4 Lusso is that if you want one new, you have to wait. Nearly all car manufactures keep new stock in their supply line, knowing that some people will not be willing to wait for their order to come in. The trouble with Ferrari is that you cannot just rock up if you want one. Even the best and wealthiest customers have to wait for their cars to be made.

You might think that Ferrari could do the same as other manufactures and spec some cars with the most common options, just in case someone walks through the door. Well that’s the first problem, as all Ferraris are bespoke and no two are the same. A bit like snowflakes, or at least that’s what they used to tell us.

Yet here we have a GTC4 Lusso, spec’ed, brand new, and ready to fly. So, hope lives on for those who don’t want to join the queue and want a car today. Often unregistered cars will become available from those who have ordered them with a view to make a buck. Others may be cancelled orders and are available because someone changed their mind. Sounds crazy you might think, but a lot can happen in the two years or so it takes for placed orders to be built. Do you know what car you want to be driving in two years from now?

The front engine V12 cars have in the opinion of most, always looked better in darker colours than reds or yellows. This beautiful GTC4 Lusso is the perfect example. I’ve always been a huge fan of blue cars, regardless of the make, and this shade of Tour De France Blue looks stunning in any Ferrari, from any era. It’s a timeless shade, and looks just as good on a LaFerrariOpens in a new tab. as it does here.

The car we selected today is available from Coutts AutomobilesOpens in a new tab. in London. Here is what they have to say about it:
