We are starting the week in style today as we drool over this spectacular grey Aston Martin DB11. The China Grey paint job happens to suit the already-handsome DB11 particularly well, accentuating the car’s curves in just the right way, while allowing the bright red brake callipers to really pop out at you. Despite housing the larger engine option, this is not the sporting DB11 choice. A long-travel suspension is set up more for touring than track-carving , so what we are looking at is a four-seater grand tourer rather than a track weapon.
Under its shapely bonnet lies a 5.2-litre V12 producing a substantial 600 bhp, or nearly 100 bhp more than the V8 option. This prodigious power output allows the coupe to accelerate to 62 mph in just 3.8 seconds. And while the top speed is a respectable 200 mph, this powerful 2+2 is not all about performance specs. As I mentioned earlier, the car has been engineered to be all-day comfortable; perfect for long road trips where a more tautly-sprung vehicle would punish its passengers. On the design front, Aston Martin has produced yet another in a long line of attractive exteriors that is still undeniably an Aston Martin. One particularly interesting feature is the new Aeroblade, an aerodynamic trick that funnels air passing over the C-pillar into ducts on the body, creating downforce without needing a rear wing.
